So, what is nitrous oxide?
Nitrous oxide is a colorless, odorless gas with a slightly sweet taste. It is also known as laughing gas due to its use as a mild anesthetic and its ability to induce euphoria when inhaled. Nitrous oxide is commonly used in the food industry as a whipping agent for cream, as it helps to create a fluffy texture and increase volume. It is also used as a propellant in aerosol cans for products such as whipped cream and cooking sprays. While nitrous oxide is generally considered safe for food use, it can be dangerous when inhaled in large amounts, as it can lead to oxygen deprivation and other health problems.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
