So, what is noix de brésil?
Noix de Brésil, also known as Brazil nuts, are large and nutrient-dense nuts that are native to South America's Amazon rainforest. They are the seeds of the Brazil nut tree, which can grow up to 50 meters tall and can live for more than 500 years. Brazil nuts are an excellent source of protein, healthy fats, and minerals like selenium, copper, and magnesium. They have a rich, creamy texture and a nutty flavor that makes them a popular ingredient in many recipes, including baked goods, nut butter, and trail mix. Due to their high selenium content, Brazil nuts are also believed to have antioxidant properties that can benefit heart health and cognitive function.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
