So, what is port?
Port is a type of fortified wine that is typically sweet and rich in flavor, with a deep ruby-red color. It is produced in the Douro Valley region of Portugal using traditional methods that have been passed down for centuries. The wine is made by adding brandy to the fermenting grape juice, which stops the fermentation process and leaves behind residual sugar. Port is often used as a dessert wine and pairs well with chocolate, nuts, and strong cheeses. It is also commonly used in cooking, particularly in savory dishes that call for a bold, complex flavor.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
