So, what is potassium sulfate?

Potassium sulfate is a white crystalline compound that is commonly used as a fertilizer, but also has various industrial and pharmaceutical applications. It is made up of potassium, sulfur, and oxygen atoms, and has the chemical formula K2SO4. This inorganic salt is water-soluble and can be found naturally in minerals such as kainite and langbeinite. Potassium sulfate is also used in the production of glass and dyes, as well as in the preparation of drugs and cosmetics. In food, it is sometimes used as a flavor enhancer or firming agent.
