So, what is sirop de'glucose?
Sirop de glucose, also known as glucose syrup, is a colorless and viscous liquid that is derived from corn starch. It is a common ingredient in a wide range of foods, from confectioneries to baked goods, because of its ability to provide sweetness, texture, and moisture. Glucose syrup is composed of glucose molecules that are bonded together in a chain, which makes it less sweet than regular sugar. It also has a high viscosity, which means it can prevent sugar from crystallizing in certain types of candies. In addition to its culinary uses, glucose syrup is sometimes used in the pharmaceutical industry as a source of energy for intravenous solutions.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
