So, what is siropdeglucose-fructose?
Sirop de glucose-fructose, also known as high-fructose corn syrup (HFCS), is a sweetener made from corn starch. It is a mixture of glucose and fructose, with a higher proportion of fructose than regular corn syrup. It is commonly used in processed foods, soft drinks, and baked goods as a sweetening agent. HFCS is less expensive than sugar and has a longer shelf life. It has been linked to various health issues such as obesity, type 2 diabetes, and metabolic syndrome. Despite this, it remains a widely used ingredient in the food industry.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
