So, what is sulfato de aluminio y sódio?
Sulfato de aluminio y sódio, also known as aluminum sodium sulfate, is a white crystalline powder commonly used as a food additive. It is primarily used as a stabilizer and firming agent in a variety of processed foods including baked goods, cheese, and pickles. This ingredient is also used in water treatment processes due to its coagulation properties. Though it has been deemed safe for consumption by regulatory agencies, some studies suggest that excessive intake may lead to negative health effects such as gastrointestinal issues and mineral imbalances.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
