So, what is ذرة?

ذرة (Dhura) is a versatile and nutritious staple food ingredient that has been consumed for thousands of years. Also known as corn, it's a member of the grass family and is widely cultivated all over the world. It comes in various colors, including yellow, white, and red, and can be prepared in a myriad of ways, such as boiling, grilling, or roasting. Dhura is an excellent source of fiber, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, making it a healthy addition to any diet. It's also used as a key ingredient in many traditional dishes, such as tortillas, tamales, and polenta.

How to quickly find the source of ingredients like ذرة?

We've built a database of 49359 ingredients (and growing), classified as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "maybe vegan".

We use it in our vegan ingredients scanner, which is the best way to avoid non-vegan ingredients - you take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
