So, what is tribeehenin?
Tribehenin is a natural vegetable fat derived from the seeds of the tropical plant Pentadesma butyracea, also known as the African butter tree. With its smooth and creamy texture, tribehenin is commonly used as a substitute for cocoa butter in chocolate and confectionery products. Its high melting point and stable emulsifying properties also make it a popular ingredient in cosmetics and personal care products. Furthermore, tribehenin is rich in fatty acids, including oleic acid and stearic acid, which may provide various health benefits such as promoting heart health and supporting skin hydration.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
