So, what is woollen?
As an ingredient, woolen is not a typical food item. In fact, it is a fabric material made from the fleece of sheep or lamb. While it may not be edible, woolen fibers have been used to insulate and line containers used for food storage in some cultures. Additionally, woolen blankets have been used to wrap and preserve food for extended periods of time in colder climates. Despite its limited direct use in food, woolen products have played an important role in food preservation throughout history, making it a unique and intriguing aspect of culinary culture.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
