So, what is y azúcar?
Y azúcar is a term used in Spanish cuisine that refers to a combination of two ingredients: Yerba mate and sugar. Yerba mate is a traditional South American drink made from the leaves of the yerba mate plant, while sugar is a sweetener commonly used in cooking and baking. Y azúcar is often used as a flavoring for desserts, pastries, and drinks, adding a distinctive sweet and slightly bitter taste to any recipe. This unique combination of flavors is a popular ingredient in traditional Argentine and Uruguayan cuisine, where it is used to make sweet treats such as alfajores, cakes, and beverages like mate cocido.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
