So, what is zucchero di cocco?

Zucchero di cocco, or coconut sugar, is a natural sweetener made from the sap of coconut palm trees. It has a caramel-like flavor similar to brown sugar, but with a lower glycemic index and a higher nutrient content. This unrefined sugar is minimally processed and contains essential vitamins and minerals such as potassium, zinc, and iron. Its granular texture makes it an excellent substitute for white or brown sugar in baking or cooking. Zucchero di cocco is also a sustainable alternative to traditional cane sugar, as coconut palm trees require less water and land to grow.
