So, what is esters d'acides gras de l'acide ascorbique?
Esters d'acides gras de l'acide ascorbique, also known as ascorbyl palmitate, is a fat-soluble form of vitamin C commonly used as a food additive to prevent oxidation and extend shelf life. This ingredient is derived from the esterification of palmitic acid and ascorbic acid and is commonly found in a variety of processed foods such as baked goods, meat products, and snacks. Ascorbyl palmitate is believed to have antioxidant properties that help protect against free radical damage and promote overall health.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
