So, what is fosfato dicalcico?
Fosfato dicalcico, also known as dicalcium phosphate, is a white, odorless, and tasteless powder commonly used as a food additive. This inorganic compound is made up of a calcium ion and two phosphate ions, making it a good source of both calcium and phosphorus. It is often added to baked goods, dairy products, breakfast cereals, and supplements due to its ability to enhance texture, improve shelf life, and provide essential minerals. Fosfato dicalcico is also commonly used in animal feed to promote bone growth and improve digestion.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
