So, what is fosfato monosodico?
Fosfato monosodico, also known as monosodium phosphate, is a white crystalline powder commonly used in the food industry as a leavening agent, emulsifier, and buffer. It helps to improve the texture and shelf life of baked goods and dairy products, while also enhancing their flavor. Fosfato monosodico is also used in the production of animal feed and as a component in some cleaning agents. Despite its many benefits, excessive consumption of this ingredient can lead to adverse health effects, so it should be used in moderation.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
