So, what is φυτικό έλαιο?
"Φυτικό έλαιο" is a Greek term for vegetable oil, a culinary ingredient derived from plants, seeds, nuts, and fruits. It is a widely used ingredient in cooking, baking, and frying due to its versatility and health benefits. Vegetable oils contain essential fatty acids, which are crucial for maintaining healthy skin, hair, and heart. They also contain vitamin E, an antioxidant that helps protect the body from harmful free radicals. The most commonly used vegetable oils include olive oil, canola oil, soybean oil, and sunflower oil, each with its unique flavor profile and cooking properties.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
