So, what is keményítő?
Keményítő, also known as starch, is a white, odorless, and tasteless powder that is commonly used as a thickening agent in various food products. It is derived from a variety of sources, including corn, potatoes, and wheat, and is composed of long chains of glucose molecules. Keményítő can be used in a variety of recipes, including soups, gravies, sauces, and puddings, and can also be used as a binding agent in baked goods. Its ability to thicken and provide structure makes it a versatile ingredient in many dishes. In addition, keményítő is also used in the manufacturing of paper, textiles, and adhesives.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
