So, what is malate acide sodium?
Malate acid sodium is a food ingredient commonly used as a flavor enhancer and acidity regulator. It is the sodium salt of malic acid, a natural substance found in many fruits and vegetables. Malate acid sodium is a white crystalline powder with a slightly sour taste and is highly soluble in water. It is often used in beverages, canned fruits, and processed meats to enhance flavor, improve texture, and extend shelf life. Malate acid sodium is generally considered safe for consumption, and is approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for use in food products.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
