So, what is sirop glucosé?
Sirop glucosé, also known as glucose syrup or corn syrup, is a transparent and viscous liquid sweetener derived from corn starch. Produced through hydrolysis, the process breaks down the starch into smaller chains of glucose molecules, resulting in a syrup with a high concentration of glucose. It has a neutral taste and is commonly used in the food industry as a thickener, preservative, and sweetener. Sirop glucosé is often found in baked goods, confectionery, and processed foods. Due to its ability to prevent crystallization, it is also used in ice creams and other frozen desserts.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
