So, what is swiss chard?
Swiss chard, also known as silverbeet, is a leafy green vegetable that belongs to the same family as spinach and beets. It has large, dark green leaves with vibrant, colorful stalks in shades of white, yellow, and red. Swiss chard is rich in vitamins and minerals such as vitamin K, vitamin A, and magnesium, making it a nutritious addition to any meal. The leaves have a slightly bitter and earthy flavor that pairs well with garlic, lemon, and other bold flavors. Swiss chard can be eaten raw in salads or cooked in a variety of dishes such as sautés, soups, and stews.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
