So, what is du brocoli¹?
Broccoli is a nutrient-dense vegetable that belongs to the cabbage family. It is a rich source of vitamins C and K, dietary fiber, and other beneficial nutrients. The word "broccoli" comes from the Italian word broccolo, which means "the flowering crest of a cabbage." Broccoli has a distinctively green, tree-like appearance with tightly packed clusters of florets. It has a slightly bitter taste and a crunchy texture when cooked al dente. Broccoli can be boiled, steamed, roasted, or eaten raw, and it is a versatile ingredient in many recipes, from stir-fries to salads to soups.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
