So, what is fecula de papa?
Fecula de papa is a fine white powder made from extracting and dehydrating the starch from potatoes. It is commonly used as a gluten-free alternative to wheat flour and cornstarch in recipes such as baked goods, sauces, and soups. Fecula de papa has a neutral flavor and a high thickening power, making it ideal for creating smooth and creamy textures in dishes. It is also a good source of carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals. In addition to its culinary uses, fecula de papa is also used in the production of biodegradable plastics, adhesives, and textiles.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
