So, what is kaliumtartrate?
Kaliumtartrate, also known as potassium bitartrate, is a naturally occurring substance that is commonly used as a food additive. It is a salt that is derived from tartaric acid, which is found in grapes and other fruits. Kaliumtartrate is often used as a leavening agent in baking, helping to create a light and airy texture in baked goods. It can also be used as a stabilizer in foods and beverages, preventing them from separating or spoiling. Additionally, kaliumtartrate has a slightly sour taste and is sometimes used as a substitute for cream of tartar in recipes.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
