So, what is pfirsich?
Pfirsich is the German word for peach, a juicy and sweet stone fruit with a fuzzy, velvety skin. This versatile fruit can be eaten fresh, baked into pies and tarts, or used to make jams, sauces, and smoothies. Peaches are rich in vitamins A and C, potassium, and fiber, making them a healthy addition to any diet. When selecting peaches, look for firm yet slightly soft fruit with a fragrant aroma. To remove the fuzzy skin, blanch the fruit in boiling water for a few seconds, then shock in ice water before peeling.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
