So, what is koolzuur?

Koolzuur is a Dutch term that refers to carbon dioxide gas, commonly used in the food and beverage industry as a natural preservative and to add fizz to carbonated drinks. It is produced by a process called carbonation, where carbon dioxide is dissolved in water under high pressure. Koolzuur is also used in the production of beer, champagne, and other sparkling beverages. It gives drinks a refreshing, tangy taste and is often associated with a satisfying fizzy sensation on the tongue. Koolzuur is a vital component in many of our favorite carbonated drinks, making them more enjoyable and flavorful.
