So, what is pere?
"Pere" is the Italian word for pears, which are juicy, sweet, and nutritious fruits that are commonly used in a variety of dishes. Pears are native to the temperate regions of Europe and Asia and are now widely cultivated worldwide. The fruit comes in different varieties, such as Anjou, Bartlett, and Bosc, each with a unique flavor, texture, and appearance. Pears are rich in fiber, vitamins C and K, and minerals such as copper and potassium. They can be enjoyed fresh, cooked, or preserved and are a versatile ingredient in desserts, salads, and savory dishes.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
