So, what is sulfate de d'ammonium?

Sulfate de d'ammonium is a white crystalline powder commonly used as a food additive to adjust acidity levels and improve the texture of baked goods. It is made up of ammonium ions and sulfate ions and is water-soluble, making it easy to blend into doughs and batters. Sulfate de d'ammonium is also used in the production of yeast, helping to activate the fermentation process and promote the growth of yeast cells. While generally considered safe for consumption, excessive intake of sulfates can lead to digestive issues, so it is recommended to use it in moderation.
