So, what is suola?

Suola is a Finnish word that translates to "salt" in English. As a food ingredient, suola refers to the mineral compound sodium chloride that is commonly used to enhance the flavor of savory dishes. Suola has been a crucial part of human history since ancient times, with evidence of salt production dating back to at least 6000 BCE. Today, suola is a staple ingredient in many cuisines around the world, used not only for flavoring but also for preserving food. While suola can be found in many different forms, including table salt, sea salt, and Himalayan pink salt, it is important to use it in moderation, as excessive consumption can have negative health effects.
