So, what is yogurt?
Yogurt is a creamy and tangy dairy product that is made by fermenting milk with bacterial cultures. It is a versatile ingredient that can be enjoyed as a standalone snack, mixed with fruits or granola for breakfast, or used as a base for dips and sauces. Yogurt is packed with probiotics, live bacteria that promote gut health, and is also a good source of protein, calcium, and vitamin D. It comes in many varieties, including Greek, Icelandic, and regular, and can be made from cow's milk, goat's milk, or even plant-based alternatives like soy or coconut milk.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
