So, what is disulfite de potassium?
Potassium disulfite is a food preservative and antioxidant commonly used in the food industry. It is a white crystalline powder that is soluble in water and has a pungent sulfur odor. Potassium disulfite is effective in preventing the growth of bacteria, yeast, and mold, which can cause spoilage and deterioration of food products. It is commonly used in wine, beer, and other alcoholic beverages, as well as dried fruits, meats, and vegetables. As a food additive, it is generally considered safe when used in accordance with good manufacturing practices.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
