So, what is huile de coco totalement hydrogénée?
Huile de coco totalement hydrogénée, or fully hydrogenated coconut oil, is a refined form of coconut oil that has been chemically altered to become solid at room temperature. Unlike its counterpart, partially hydrogenated coconut oil, which contains trans fats and is known for its negative health effects, fully hydrogenated coconut oil is free of trans fats and is considered a healthier alternative. It has a neutral flavor and a high smoke point, making it ideal for cooking and baking. Additionally, it has a longer shelf life than unhydrogenated coconut oil and is commonly used as an ingredient in processed foods such as margarine, chocolate, and snack bars.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
